I Peeled My Room Off Camera
About This Video
No set. No cuts. One take.
Everything you're looking at in the first four seconds is a composite — the window, the daylight, the bed, the plant. What's actually behind me is a green wall with tracking markers on it.
The peel is a displacement map driven by a hand-tracked null, with the "room" layer parented to it so the whole environment deforms as one sheet. The trick isn't the peel. It's that the edge has to sag under its own weight, or your brain rejects it instantly.
I teach this exact style of compositing from scratch — 150+ lessons, project files included: https://www.udemy.com/course/vfx-comp...
